The former Holleman-Schoen industrial site in Zaandam, once home to the region’s iconic windmill, is undergoing a complete transformation to become a vibrant, mixed-use neighbourhood centred around residential living.
Construction of 106 rental apartments for the Rochdale housing association began in mid-May 2024 on the former Schoen site.
Construction on the Holleman site will begin in 2025 and will include:
- De Paltrok Block H: the landmark tower with 82 freehold apartments
- De Paltrok Block E: 15 owner-occupied apartments
- De Paltrok Block F: 35 owner-occupied apartments
Sales will start with Block H, followed by Blocks E and F.
The development will also include attractive commercial spaces suitable for offices, medical practices, and other service-oriented businesses.
Block E
